Individually, José and Bill are accomplished and highly recognized in the world of hair and beauty. Together, they dominate the Austin beauty network with their combined knowledge and experience of over thirty years. In their ten years as business partners they have turned a local Austin salon into a Hair and Skin Care oasis for clientele of all types. Attracting women and men from all corners of the world, the José Luis Salon has become the premiere salon of Austin and its surrounding boroughs.

José is a master stylist who uses his thirty years of experience and training from all over the world to execute his vision. Well known for his signature cutting technique, José personally trains each team member in not only his cutting but also coloring expertise.  Recently, Jose was inducted into the elite Intercoiffure –Mondial . This is an international organization that recognizes the beauty industries “best of the best”.  Jose was asked to travel to Paris to work for Giorgio Armani doing hair for the Fall Armani Prive fashion show.   Often in New York and other locations doing photo shoots, Jose continues to work with prominent beauty and fashion leaders around the globe. His work is featured in local and national magazines and on the runways. He prides himself on not only the dreams he has for the salon, but also his aspirations for his community. An avid contributor to local charities and organizations, José stays close to his hometown through his humanitarianism and philanthropy.

With over twenty five years of credentials and education in skin care therapy and products, Bill began his career as a representative for Dermalogica. During the past ten years he has used his expert knowledge of skin care and ethical business experience to contribute the missing piece of the José Luis Salon puzzle. 

After twenty years, a major remodel, and the addition of its intense education program, the José Luis Salon has become an unrivaled expert in customer care.  Jose Luis Salon was opened in 1988 and moved to its current location in 1992.  After a recent expansion the salon is now over 4000 square feet and employs over 35 staff members. Jose Luis Salon has become the premiere salon of Austin and recognized as one of the top salons nationally.  Jose Luis Salon was named Salon of Distinction 2010 by Salon Today Magazine and was a featured salon for Modern Salon Magazine in 2008. Jose Luis Salon was the winner of numerous local awards during Austin Fashion Week 2010 including, Peers Choice for  Best Salon, Peers Choice for Best Hairdresser and Critics Choice for  Best Salon.  Magazine awards include “Best Short Hair”, “Best Hispanic Hairdresser” and many more.  The salon is known for doing local events and workshops and recently held a fundraiser with international celebrity hairdresser Oribe.  Jose Luis Salon is continuously doing hair and makeup for fashion shows and photo shoots, most recently the World Wide Maniac fashion show featuring designs by Maggie Morris and Richie Rich.  The salon is an avid contributor to local charities and organizations including Dell Children’s Hospital and Project Prom.  Jose Luis Salon is proud to be an Austin favorite.
