Rachel Carr


    Rachel was born and raised in Eugene, OR and began her hair career in Pittsburgh, PA after completing her BA at University of Pittsburgh.  Her specialties include short cuts, long textured cuts, men's cuts and natural looking color.  She loves cuts and color techniques that work with the hair's natural tendencies, making it easier to style and maintain.  She also loves a challenge.

    Some of her work accomplishments include winning the Sebastian What's Next Awards in 2013, becoming a semi-finalist at Trendvision in 2014 and winning the Spring 2014 Beauty Changes Lives Vidal Sassoon Scholarship.  She is also an educator for Nioxin and is well versed in thinning hair solutions.   Before that she taught for Sebastian Professional, where she taught cutting techniques to salons and school and worked directly under many of the top artists at shows, including Christian Siriano's NYFW show.  She has worked on shows and photoshoots nationwide, including LA and NYC.

    She has also been published in numerous magazines, including Inked, Estetica USA, American Salon, Modern Salon, Jute Magazine, Editorial, Beauty Launchpad and Behind the Chair. Some educational highlights include training at the Wella studios in Budapest, Lisbon, LA and NYC and a five day cutting course at the Sassoon Academy in Toronto. She is always working towards perfecting her cuts and colors and making her clients as happy as possible.
