An Austin native born and raised, Maddie always knew that she wanted to do something artistic with her life. Growing up in the world of musical theater and beauty pageants opened her eyes to the endless possibilities that Austin and it's creative scene had to offer. After studying in the esteemed Musical Theater Program at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, Maddie felt that there was a creative itch that had yet to be scratched.

Upon entering an essay contest for the Aveda Institute of San Antonio, Maddie was selected to present a hair and makeup model before of a panel of industry professionals from the San Antonio community. As fate would have it, Maddie was awarded a full scholarship to the Institute, chosen by the panel based on her raw talent.

After graduating with top honors, Maddie studied, apprenticed and specialized in all things color related at Toni & Guy (TIGI) salon. Being in a departmentalized salon for almost a year left Maddie yearning to further expand her skill set. She found Jose Luis Salon in 2009 and has never looked back. Apprenticing under master stylists Blaine Morgan and Franchiska Bryant, Maddie honed her cutting and coloring skills. While continuing to learn the top trends and techniques in the beauty industry, she is able to give her clients the most current and stylish look best suited for their life-style.

For Maddie, the most rewarding part of working in this industry is the opportunity to build personal connections with each and every client. Since becoming a full-time stylist, Maddie's work has extended beyond the stylist's chair and onto the pages of L Style/G Style, the runways of Tribeza Style Week and Austin Fashion Week, as well as countless weddings, local photoshoots and catalog work.
